A Creative Visit from Tor Freeman!

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Tor Freeman, a talented author and illustrator, to St. Joseph’s for a fantastic day of creativity, storytelling and drawing!

Tor gave the children a fascinating insight into the world of writing and illustration, sharing how she develops her ideas, creates new characters and brings her stories to life. The children loved hearing extracts from her new books and discovering just how much thought, imagination and hard work goes into creating a finished story.

Things got even more exciting when the children had the opportunity to take part in some live drawing with Tor! There were plenty of creative ideas, lots of enthusiasm and some fantastic illustrations taking shape. Who knows, we might have a few budding authors and illustrators in our midst!

Some of our lucky children also purchased signed copies of Tor’s books to take home, and we were delighted to add some new titles to our very own school library. We can’t wait for the children to dive into these stories and enjoy even more reading adventures.

A huge thank you to Tor for such an inspiring visit. It was wonderful to see our children so engaged, creative and enthusiastic about books. We hope her visit has inspired many of them to pick up a pencil, dream up a character and start creating stories of their own!
